The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRCL) authorities handed them over to the railway police. The detainees were passengers who started sloganeering after getting off a train, the metro authorities were quoted saying.<br \/>\nThe said slogan led to a major controversy when it was used in an election rally attended by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) minister of state Anurag Thakur. Another BJP leader Abhay Verma used the &#8220;goli maaro&#8221; slogan at a march shortly before gunmen opened fire at the protesters of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Delhi.
