The reservoir, which had a capacity of 32,000 gallons, is in a housing estate for Central government employees. Residents say lack of maintenance is the possible cause of the collapse.<br \/>\nThey said that no maintenance work for the reservoir was done for 15 to 20 years. They staged a demonstration in the area, but lifted it when maintenance workers reached the place.<br \/>\nFew weeks ago, a water reservoir in Bankura\u2019s Sarenga collapsed to the ground.
