The West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced a major reshuffle on Monday, preparing grounds for the coming 2021 Assembly elections which the party is looking at as an opportunity to wrest power from the ruling Trinamool Congress.<\/p>\n
Hooghly MP Locket Chatterjee was one of the big gainers \u2013 she was elevated to the position of general secretary of the party’s state unit.<\/p>\n
However, former Kolkata mayor Sovon Chatterjee, who moved to the BJP from Trinamool Congress did not get any top position. Answering a question, state chief Dilip Ghosh “clarified” that Chatterjee \u201cis still with the BJP\u201d.
