COVID-19: Area around Maharashtra CM’s residence sealed after tea seller tests positive

The area around Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence has been sealed off after a tea seller in Bandra tested positive for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday.

Some security personnel from the CM’s residence had visited the teal stall, news agency ANI reported. They have been kept in isolation. Over 100 officials and security personnel are likely to be replaced as a precautionary measure.

Four persons who lived in the tea seller’s building have been quarantined too. The local municipal corporation has sprayed disinfectants in the area.

Maharashtra has reported 849 COVID-19 cases, which is the highest in the country. So far, 56 in the state have died from COVID-19 while 45 have been cured and discharged.
