Stone-pelting, terrorism, violent protests doesn’t really offer the perfect situation in Kashmir to grow up in and create success stories that people outside would notice. There is more of disillusionment and disappointment. And therefore, Imran Khan’s story is all the more inspiring.
This youngster has set up a café, Motor Café – based on the automobile industry – in Srinagar’s Rajbagh. Not only has it become an attraction for the fusion food it serves and the interesting décor, but for the Kashmiri youths desperately wanting to break the stifling atmosphere, it is a way of enjoying life. The tourists have also taken notice of this unique themed café, and are all praise for Imran’s efforts.
Growing up in Kashmir, Khan easily understands the minds of the young Kashmiris. “My intention was to create a space for the young people so that they can escape from the tense situation in Kashmir for a while and can relax in peace,” Khan told ANI.
