Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Locket Chatterjee called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. She is the party’s MP from Hooghly.
Chatterjee tweeted a picture with PM Modi from her account @me_locket and wrote: “Met Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji this morning. I am honoured to receive his blessings during the Navratri.”
She did not share with the media details of the visit, and said it was a courtesy call. She has been away from key BJP meetings in Bengal in recent times and there are talks of her rift with a certain section of the party. Following her meeting with the PM, there are more speculations among a section of her party leaders on the reason she had sought a meeting with the PM.
