The colour of Taj Mahal is turning into green and brown due to pollution

The Supreme Court expressed worry today about pollution causing damage to the Taj Mahal. The colour of Taj Mahal, originally a pristine white, had turned yellowish earlier, and things are getting no better. It is now turning greenish and brownish.

The apex court snubbed the Centre on this and suggested that they take assistance of archaeological experts from India and foreign countries to determine the extent of damage and to find ways of restoring it.

The apex Court’s bench of Justices Madan B. Lokur and Deepak Gupta observed this from photographs submitted to them by noted environmental lawyer M.C Mehta, it was reported.
