The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) swept the Delhi elections with a thumping majority, winning 63 seats of the 70 seats. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won from seven seats, and the Congress got none.
AAP chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal dedicated his win to the people of Delhi saying, “this is a win for those families of Delhi who loved me as their son, and for those families who got 24-hour electricity, water and education.”
A delighted Kejriwal told the supporters outside the AAP headquarters in Delhi that the people of the city have clearly indicated that they would vote for those who will do developmental work for them. “This is a win for Bharat Mata, for all of India,” he said.

The BJP was accused of hate politics and of playing the communal agenda ahead of the election.
Counting for the Delhi Assembly elections started at around 8 am with well ahead of the BJP.
Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia both won from their respective seats.
