Actor Sayantika Banerjee joins Trinamool Congress

Bengali film actor Sayantika Banerjee joined Trinamool Congress on Wednesday. She joined the party in presence of senior leaders Partha Chatterjee, Subrata Mukherjee and Bratya Basu. “I have always been with Mamata Banerjee, and will continue to be with her in the coming days. It is a great honour for me to join the party,” she said.

Several actors from Tollywood have joined both Trinamool Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) already. Actors like Srabanti Chatterjee, Yash, Payel, Papiya Adhikary have joined the BJP. Actors like Saayoni Ghosh, Kanchan Mullick, film director Raj Chakraborty have joined the Trinamool Congress.
