Imagine a dream home – with video door phone, video intercom system, control of lights, fans, ACs, television, geyser – all controlled from fingertips from your smartphone from the comfort of your home or even when you are outside. Think of controlling all this even through voice enabled devices such as Alexa or other Google voice devices.
Seems unreal or expensive? Not at all, says the Siddha Group, East India’s leading real estate developer, as they launched Siddha Smart Homes in Kolkata on Friday.
“There is a shift from smartphones to smart homes taking place, and home automation – a luxury all these days is now a reality in all Siddha homes at no extra cost to the buyer, said Sanjay Jain, Managing Director, Siddha Group. Calling it a “major breakthrough”, he said that “we believe such value addition will make the lives of people smarter and free from worries”. This is affordable luxury as Siddha apartments start at Rs 28 lakh, and is available in their projects such as their Waterfront project at Khardah, on BT Road, two projects (Siddha Happyville and Siddha Galaxia) at Rajarhat, at Southern Bypass and on the EM Bypass. The same goes for its projects in Mumbai — Siddha Seabrook at Kandivali West and Siddha Sky at Wadala.
The Smart Homes will also be energy efficient as appliances can be switched on and off as and whenever required even from outside the home. It will enable people to save time and get food ready or warm water for shower from outside.
Moreover, there won’t be need to cut through the walls for making any separate connections for controlling the smart appliances. The appliances can be controlled through plug-ins and wall pasting devices that will help a smartphone to establish a connection with the appliances.
Each Smart Home will come pre-fitted with a video door phone complete with a video intercom system. The ability to operate the home remotely will also make such homes safer and more secure.
