The research, interviews and the curation of the book was done by the Centre for Public History (CPH), of the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore. ARCH (Archival Resources for Contemporary History) was founded in 2007 by Indira Chowdhury, a Ph.D in History from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. In 2010, ARCH found a home at Srishti as ARCH@Srishti. CPH and ARCH@Srishti work with institutions keen to build their archives.
