Swati Sengupta is an author and journalist. Her published books are Out of War, Half the Field Is Mine, Guns on My Red Earth and The Talking Bird. She has worked for various newspapers in Kolkata for 18 years, and runs a gender workshop series. Swati lives in a brave and beautiful world in which girls and boys do not carry out gender-specific roles.
