The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested Subhra Kundu, wife of Rose Valley group chairperson Gautam Kundu. She has allegedly siphoned off crores of rupees in connection with the Rose Valley chit fund, that the CBI has been probing.
Subhra Kundu reportedly could not provide satisfactory answers to the CBI officers during interrogation. She was arrested from her home on Friday for not answering and avoiding to respond to critical questions.
She had earlier also been summoned for interrogation by another Central investigating agency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Subhra Kundu was reportedly director of the company’s jewellery branch, whose offices have been searched several times.
