Coronavirus: 3 more admitted to Kolkata’s ID hospital for testing

Three persons were admitted to the isolation ward of Beliaghata Infectious Diseases Hospital on Thursday for testing of Coronavirus as suspected cases.
Among them is a 75-year old Australian woman, who was referred to Beliaghata IF Hospital by a private hospital.
Her swab samples have been sent to the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED) situated within the premises of Beliaghata ID. The woman had complained of respiratory problems and had travelled to Singapore recently. The results for her swab test will be available on Friday.
So far, 22 persons have been tested for Coronavirus in West Bengal of whom 21 have tested negative while the report is awaited for one. Five out of 206 people, who were kept on home surveillance in the state have safely completed their surveillance term.
People who were either travelling with those detected with the virus or those who have recently returned from China, have been kept under observation in isolation wards in the state.
There have been over 2,000 deaths in China from Novel Coronavirus so far and around 75,000 have been affected. The health department authorities in West Bengal are constantly in touch with officials of the Union Health Ministry to coordinate and to inform them about every detail.
