Former Kolkata CP Rajeev Kumar served with CBI notice: asked to be present for interrogation at 10 am on Saturday

Soon after the Calcutta High Court refused to extend any further the interim protection for custodial interrogation to former Kolkata Police commissioner Rajeev Kumar, CBI officers today reached his official residence and served him a notice.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers served a notice asking him to be present at the organisation’s Salt Lake office in the CGO complex tomorrow, Saturday, by 10 am.

Kumar is said to be on leave and was not present in office. Thus the notice was served at his official residence on Park Street. Various reports said that Kumar was not home.
