West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on her way to Delhi bumped into Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s wife Jashodaben at the Netaji Subhas International Airport on Tuesday.
Jashodaben has been in Kolkata and some other places in West Bengal for the past few days. She was reported to have visited to the Kalyaneswari temple in Asansol yesterday. Jashodaben was on her way back and Banerjee was on her way to Delhi when the two met at the airport lounge suddenly. Banerjee will be in Delhi for the next few days and also call on PM Modi tomorrow at 4.30 pm. Her meeting with Narendra Modi will be the first such meeting after the formation of the new government at the Centre.
Banerjee and Jashodaben were seen exchanging pleasantries, and during the brief talk at the airport, the Bengal CM was learnt to have gifted a saree to the PM’s wife.
