Poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Saturday attacked the Centre on its strategies to fight the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in the country. He took to Twitter to criticise the Centre on several fronts.
He said that the Centre should have responded better than just imposing a lockdown which he called “botched up”, and added that the Centre is unable to provide adequate health services.
A 21-day lockdown was imposed on March 24 midnight as a measure to check the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Kishor alleged that in India “less than 10 per million” tests is being done and that COVID-19 “treatment and care facilities” are “non-existent” for people who need them.
He ended his tweet with the hashtag “#IndiaDeservesBetter.”
Earlier this week, Kishor had said that the lockdown may bring “tough days ahead” and blamed it on Centre’s “shaky preparedness”.
