Kolkata will remain partly cloudy on Monday and the maximum temperature will remain around 30°C. However, the city may receive light to moderate rainfall in the second half of the day and thus the maximum temperature may dip slightly to 28°C in the later part of the day.
Rainfall might increase on Tuesday as a cyclonic circulation approaches close to West Bengal from Uttar Pradesh, officials of Alipore Meteorological department said. As a result, the maximum temperature may dip to 25-26°C on Tuesday. Thunderstorms are also expected. Rainfall will be higher in districts adjacent to Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand.
On Wednesday too, the city is likely to receive rainfall in one or two spells and the minimum temperature may further dip to 19°C. Rainfall is expected to reduce from Thursday with the maximum temperature rising again to 28°C. Rains will mainly occur in North and South 24 Parganas, Nadia and Murshidabad on Thursday.
Rest of the days ahead will have mainly clear skies and temperature around 29-30°C.
