Trinamool leader Sadhan Pande unwell, Sujan Chakraborty-Adhir Chowdhury COVID positive

Pande was unwell this morning, but was released from hospital and advised rest.

Bengal minister Sadhan Pande was taken to a private hospital in Kolkata on Thursday morning after he complained of breathing distress. However, he was released after initial check-up and treatment. He has been advised rest. Pande had taken the vaccine against COVID on Wednesday and was out campaigning. But he started feeling unwell on Thursday morning with respiratory distress and body ache. Pande is the Trinamool Congress candidate from Manicktala in Kolkata, which goes to the polls on April 29.

While Pande is stable and at home now, several politicians contesting polls this time have tested positive for COVID-19. Former minister and Trinamool Congress’ contestant from Kamarhati, Madan Mitra, has been admitted to a private hospital off EM Bypass in Kolkata. He has tested positive for COVID-19. CPI(M) leader and the party’s candidate from Jadavpur constituency, Sujan Chakraborty, is admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. He has tested positive for COVID-19 and has mild symptoms. Bengal Congress president Adhir Chowdhury has also tested positive for COVID-19 and is staying in home isolation. Trinamool Congress’ candidate from Khardah, Kajol Chowdhury has also tested positive for COVID-19.
