Trinamool candidate Soham says he is doing fine, news on swine flu false
He is the Chandipur candidate of Trinamool Congress.
Trinamool Congress’ candidate from Chandipur in East Midnapore, actor Soham Chakraborty, ruled out news of his illness. There was “news” doing the rounds that he is down with swine flu. But Soham took to social media to state that he is doing fine, and that he visited Kolkata for a day for “routine check-up” and though he had fever, it is not a serious illness. Chandipur goes to vote on April 1, in the second phase of elections, and Soham said that he would be back to campaigning.
Apparently, he was down with fever for the past few days but continued his campaigning despite the physical discomfort. He had also been holding regular meetings with the local party leaders there. The actor joined Trinamool Congress in 2014, and was a candidate from Barjora constituency in 2016, but he lost the election. However, despite losing the election, he continued to work for the party unlike many other actors.
