West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the 43rd Kolkata Internation Book Fair today. The fair is being held at Central Park Mela Ground, Karunamoyee, Salt Lake from January 31 to February 11. The fair will be open from 12 noon to 8 pm every day.
The theme country this year is Guatemala. Eminent author from Guatemala, Euda Morales, was present at the inauguration.
Speaking at the inauguration, the West Bengal CM said it is heartening that despite the huge popularity of social media, people still read books.
