PM Modi to address rally in Purulia tomorrow

Modi will visit Bengal after the meeting at Brigade Parade Ground on March 7.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting in Purulia on Thursday. With Assembly elections scheduled in eight phases beginning March 27, PM Modi has already visited Bengal several times.

His last meeting on March 7 in Kolkata’s Brigade Parade Ground saw the joining of actor Mithun Chakraborty. Modi will be addressing two meetings in Bengal and Assam tomorrow. Purulia and other districts of Jangalmahal in Bengal are going to the polls in the first phase on March 27. Elections in Bengal continue till April 29. Results are out on May 2.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has so far released candidate list for the first four phases. The candidates’ list for the next four phases are yet to be announced.

Preparations are on in Purulia for Modi’s public rally, and senior leaders of the party visited the area since Wednesday morning to supervise the grounds.
