“Kyala Hobe Divas”, named after Trinamool’s popular slogan, to be celebrated in Bengal

The date will be announced later.

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said that a day will be marked to celebrate “Kyala Hobe” which was the ruling party Trinamool Congress’ popular slogan in the 2021 Assembly polls. The slogan – which loosely translates as “the game will be on” — has become popular across Bengal and beyond. Now, a day will be marked in West Bengal to celebrate “Kyala Hobe Divas”.

Ahead of the 2021 Assembly elections, Banerjee was injured in Nandigram of East Midnapore district, and she started her election campaign with the injured leg in a cast, moving on wheelchair. Since then, the “Kyala Hobe” slogan has become even more popular with the line “bhanga paye khyala hobe” (the game will continue with a broken limb). The “Kyala Hobe Divas” date will be announced later.
