Calcutta High Court asks Bengal govt to release DA of state employees within 3 months
Court upholds order of the state administrative tribunal.
The Calcutta High Court on Friday ordered the West Bengal government to clear the pending dearness allowance (DA) of state employees within three months.
The court upheld an order of the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal and accordingly asked the state to release the DA and arrears as per the West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2009 within three months.
The state tribunal had passed the order in July 2019. About a million state employees and pensioners are likely to benefit from this.
