CBI raids Trinamool MLA’s properties in North 24 Parganas
MLA Subodh Adhikari's properties were searched.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday, raided several properties of Trinamool Congress MLA Subodh Adhikari. Officers were quoted saying that the raids were in connection with a chit fund scam for which Halishahar municipality chairman Raju Sahani has been arrested. Adhikari is the MLA of Bijpur. His residences and offices were raided on Sunday by the CBI.
A house belonging to Subodh Adhikari’s brother was also searched. He is the chairperson of Kanchrapara municipality. Six teams were learnt to be conducting the raids in Halishahar and Kanchrapara of North 24 Parganas.
Raju Sahani was arrested by the CBI on Friday in connection with a chit fund scam.
