Private tutor sexually assaults female student at gunpoint in Kolkata’s Netaji Nagar; arrested

A man in his 40s was arrested from Netaji Nagar in south Kolkata after police received complaint from a school girl that she was sexually assaulted by him at gunpoint at his house. The man, a private tutor, has repeatedly assaulted her when she went to take tuitions at his place.

The girl, a teenager who studies in a renowned private school in the area, told her parents about the assault and they went to Bansdroni police station and lodged a complaint.

Police went to the private tutor’s house and picked him up. A firearm and some ammunition were found from his place.

It is suspected that he may have sexually assaulted a number of female students at gunpoint, and they were too scared to report the crime.
