First Coronavirus case in Kolkata, son of senior bureaucrat admitted to hospital

An 18 year old tested positive for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kolkata on Tuesday. This is the first positive case in West Bengal. He is the son of a senior bureaucrat.
He returned from London on March 15, and had gone through the mandatory checks, but didn’t have any symptoms and was asked to remain in home quarantine. However, though he was in isolation at home, he was taken to the Beliaghata ID Hospital after some symptoms emerged. He has been kept in isolation ward at the hospital and is undergoing treatment.
His driver has been kept in isolation too.
The state health department officials held a meeting after the detection, and are trying to track down others who have come in contact with him over the past few days. All these people will have to be kept in isolation as well in order to prevent further spread among others.
The total number of positive cases in the country increased to 126.
