Abhishek Banerjee alleges BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari had telephonic conversation with absconding Vinay Mishra 8 months ago
Banerjee said he is willing to submit the clip to court.
Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee today alleged that Leader of Opposition in Bengal, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Suvendu Adhikari had a telephonic conversation with absconding former Trinamool Congress leader Vinay Mishra about eight months ago.
Abhishek Banerjee was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its Salt Lake CGO Complex office today and he said this to the media after coming out of the office following seven hours of questioning. Banerjee wondered how it was possible for the BJP leader to speak to a leader who is “absconding”.
He said that he has heard the conversation recording between Adhikari and Mishra and alleged that the former had told Mishra that he would “look into his case”. Banerjee challenged Adhikari to move court against him on this statement “and I can submit the audio clip to the court which can then be subjected to forensic test”.
The Enforcement Directorate has earlier attached properties of a company linked to Mishra, the Trinamool’s former youth wing leader and his arrested brother Vikas Mishra in a money laundering case. It is linked to alleged coal mining case in Bengal.
