Sharma recently took to her Insta-stories to post about one of her latest meals that is a favourite with many Bengalis.
Panta bhaat is leftover rice soaked overnight in water. The slightly fermented rice is eaten along with the cool water it is soaked in. It cleanses the stomach and keeps the body cool. Anushka Sharma’s plate shows aloo chokha, begun bhaja, bori bhaja, onions and chillies. There seems to be some mustard oil drizzled on top.
