Goswami was arrested for allegedly possessing cocaine

Bharatiya Janata Party youth leader Pamela Goswami, who was arrested on Friday for allegedly possessing cocaine, has made allegations against her party colleague Rakesh Singh, who she said is close to senior leader Kailash Vijayvargiya. Goswami also demanded a probe by the state agency, Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Goswami made these allegations while she was being taken to court on Saturday, telling journalists that Singh had conspired against her. She and two of her aides were arrested by police for allegedly possessing cocaine. On Saturday, the court ordered police custody for all three till February 25.

Meanwhile, Rakesh Singh alleged that Pamela Goswami had been asked to make these allegations by the police and the ruling Trinamool Congress. Kailash Vijayvargiya, who said he did not know anything about the matter, added that he trusted the law to bring in justice.
