Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh’s convoy attacked in Alipurduar

The convoy of West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Dilip Ghosh was allegedly attacked in Alipurduar district on Thursday. According to reports, the vehicle in which Kalchini MLA Wilson Champamari was travelling was damaged in the attack. Some people showed black flags and shouted “Go Back” slogans at the convoy.

However, who was behind the attack is not yet clear. There are some reports that the attack was by supporters of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM), while some reports say that the allegations are against Trinamool Congress. The BJP’s youth wing led by Soumitra Khan is taking out a march in Kolkata to protest the attack.

A few days back, Ghosh had warned Trinamool Congress workers in the state that if they do not change their ways, they have to either visit a hospital or may end up in a crematorium. The Trinamool Congress reacted saying that Ghosh is vitiating the political atmosphere in the state and is trying to unleash a reign of terror in Bengal.
