After Duare Sarkar, the West Bengal government is launching a new programme – Paray Paray Samadhan (solution in neighbourhoods) – from the beginning of the new year, 2021. The programme has been designed to fill gaps in services in infrastructure at community levels.
Announcing this at Bolpur at the administrative meeting of Birbhum district, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and chief secretary Alapan Bandopadhyay explained that the programme will be in place for a month and a half starting January 2, 2021. The solutions like setting up a toilet, building a small culvert or an additional classroom that cannot be part of bigger projects, will be primarily taken up through this special programme. It will continue till February 15. Just like Duare Sarkar – which has seen a huge response from the public – this too will be monitored constantly by a special task force headed by IAS officers.
