Bengali actors Yash Dasgupta, Papiya Adhikary join BJP

Several actors from the Bengali film industry joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday, including popular actor Yash Dasgupta. Among senior actors was Papiya Adhikary, who has acted in several films and TV serials for the past few decades.

At a programme organised in the BJP’s new media centre at a 5-star hotel in central Kolkata, Yash, Papiya Adhikary and others took BJP flags from senior party leaders such as Kailash Vijayvargiya, Swapan Dasgupta, Mukul Roy and others.

According to Yash, young persons like him are favoured by the BJP and he wants to bring in changes from within the system instead of shunning it.
