BJP national president JP Nadda to visit Bengal on June 7
Meetings lined up with MLAs, MPs and senior leaders of his party.
Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda will be on a three-day visit to West Bengal starting June 7. He is expected to land in Kolkata on June 7 evening and will hold party meetings the following day.
Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar said that Nadda will hold meetings with party MLAs and MPs and with the first working committee of the new state unit. There are talks that Nadda is planning a pep talk for his party functionaries in view of the recent political developments in Bengal that has seen Babul Supriyo, Joy Prakash Majumdar and most recently, Arjun Singh, leaving the BJP to join Trinamool Congress.
Nadda will visit the Vande Mataram Bhawan in Chinsurah on Wednesday. It is the house of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. He will also visit the Chandangar Rash Behari Bose Research Institute and address a session of the BJP West Bengal State Executive Committee. He is also scheduled to visit the Belur Math. The BJP national president will also hold closed door meetings with senior party functionaries.
