There was heavy hailstorm in Darjeeling town from 1.30 p.m. on Saturday, which continued till 4 p.m. As a result, large parts of Darjeeling town was covered with thick white layer of hailstones. This is not peak tourist season, but Darjeeling is visited by tourists all through the year. Tourists and local people of the hill town had a great time walking around after the hailstorm was over.
