Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee to be released from hospital today

Former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee will be released from hospital today.

He was admitted to a city hospital three days back as he complained of breathlessness. Initially critical when taken to the hospital, he recovered within a few hours at the hospital and was kept on observation for a couple of days.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee, who went to visit him at the hospital, said that he was recovering well and a medical team had been formed to keep him under constant care.

Despite being unwell, Bhattacharjee told his party colleagues to ensure that people do not crowd the hospital as it might cause inconvenience to other patients and their relatives. He has also been keen on returning home, though doctors had advised him to remain admitted to the hospital for three more days.
