Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee’s condition stable and improving: Mamata Banerjee
Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee’s condition is stable and is now improving, chief minister Mamata Banerjee said before leaving the hospital. This was reiterated by the hospital authorities.
The former chief minister of West Bengal was taken to the city hospital in a critical condition as he complained of breathlessness this evening.
His haemoglobin is low and that is being taken care of, she added. Banerjee said that his condition was vulnerable when he had been taken to the hospital, but had improved in an hour.
A spokesperson of the hospital where Bhattacharjee is being treated, said that a five-member medical team had been formed to assess his condition and treatment. CPIM politburo member Mohammed Salim tweeted that Bhattacharjee’s condition is stable and asked people to not worry.
