Noted theatre actors from Bengal on Friday took out a rally in Kolkata to protest the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and police attack on students.
Bibhas Chakraborty, Sohag Sen, Meghnad Bhattacharya, Paran Bandopadhyay, Chandan Sen, Neel Mukherjee, Ashok Mukhopadhyay, Soumitra Bose, were among those who participated in the rally.

The rally started from Rash Behari Avenue and ended at Bangla Akademi in the Nandan complex.
Bibhas Chakraborty, who was among those who led the rally from the front, said that the aim was to address the “oppressive” Central government which has resorted to violent measures against peaceful citizens’ protests. He also condemned the attacks on students across the country. Chakraborty also called CAA as being against the interest of citizens.
