Six persons were arrested by the Special Task Force of Kolkata Police from the Eden Gardens area of Kolkata for possessing over 2,000 contraband psychotropic tablets.
The seized substances, Yaba tablets (weighing 189 gm) is also known as Crazy Drug, Maddening Drug or Nazi Drug.
These six persons — Abdul Rashid, Abdul Sahid and Abdul Zahid are all from Kolkata’s Ekbalpur area, Md Raju Ahmed is from Shibgunge area of Chapai Nawab Gunj district in Bangladesh, Naraynan Mondal from Gajole in Malda district, and Sabir Sk from Malda’s English Bazar.

They will be produced in court on Saturday.
