After the demise of DMK patriarch and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi, an emergency executive meeting of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has been scheduled on August 14. Important decisions regarding the next party president to be elected and also other resolutions are to be passed. All executive members have been directed to be present at the meeting.
It is speculated that Karunanidhi’s son M.K. Stalin who presently holds the post of working president in the party shall be elevated to the post of party president.
