The Bengal Story Bureau: Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty has allegedly received a fresh death threat demanding a ransom of Rs 20 crore. According to official complaints, the threat was delivered to the director’s team via an audio message, with suspected links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The Mumbai Police have launched a high-level probe to investigate the source of the message and identify the individuals involved.
Audio Threat Warns Previous Shooting Was Just a Trailer
The threat message reportedly references an earlier security scare involving the filmmaker. A few months ago, unidentified individuals fired four rounds outside Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu, Mumbai.
The sender of the new audio clip, identified in initial reports as Shubham Lonkar, allegedly stated that the previous shooting incident was merely a trailer. The message went on to warn that if the demand for Rs 20 crore is not fulfilled immediately, the next attempt on the director’s life will not miss its target.
