One or more foreign gangs are said to be involved in the ATM fraud that was reported from Jadavpur, police said. Thirty-five persons complained to the Kolkata Police authorities till Monday about Rs 7 lakh stolen from their accounts without their knowledge. All the residents are from Kolkata’s Jadavpur area. In the last 24 hours, 13 more similar complaints – this time from the Tollygunge area – were made with the police.
