Kolkata may receive a light spell of rain on Thursday, and parts of north Bengal along with Jharkhand and Bihar may receive showers caused by a western disturbance, according to weather officials.
The city sky will be covered with cloud for the next two days, which is expected to cause a slight rise in temperature. After the sky becomes clear on Friday, a drop in temperature may take place by at least 2°C. The drop will help the winter to set in, the officials added. Temperature this month will remain mostly below 20°C.
The minimum temperature today is likely to remain around 18°C and touch 19°C over the next two days. The weather office said that after the rains are over this week, the temperature will start coming down and help in the onset of winter.
