Temperature in Kolkata might go down from Monday, as Northwesterly winds are expected to hit the city.
Met officials said that there may not be a stark difference in temperature felt right from the first day of the week, but as the week progresses, there will be a clear indication of the temperature fall.
“The dry and cool Northwesterly winds will set in by the first day of the week, and this will certainly bring in the chill. But the temperature will still take a few more days to fall significantly, and for a wintry feel,” said an official. Unless there is any obstruction formed for the flow of winds from the north-western part of the country – which is what it is currently – it will get steadily cooler over the next few days.
So, how much will the temperature fall around mid-December?
According to an official, the minimum temperature is expected to fall below 17 degree centigrade over the coming weekend.
