The upcoming Honda Activa 7G is expected to feature advanced Bluetooth connectivity and improved fuel efficiency.

The Bengal Story Bureau: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is gearing up for the launch of the next-generation Activa 7G. As one of the most anticipated two-wheelers in the country, the upcoming scooter is expected to bring significant updates in design, performance, and smart connectivity features, aiming to consolidate Honda’s dominance in the domestic automatic scooter segment.

Advanced Features and Smart Connectivity

Industry reports suggest that the Activa 7G will mark a departure from its predecessors by integrating modern tech-centric features. The most notable addition is expected to be Bluetooth connectivity, allowing riders to pair their smartphones for features like call and SMS alerts. There is also strong speculation regarding the inclusion of turn-by-turn navigation, which would be a first for the standard Activa line.

Additionally, the scooter is slated to receive a fully digital instrument cluster, providing real-time data such as fuel efficiency, trip metrics, and vehicle health alerts. To further enhance utility, the manufacturer is expected to include an external fuel-filler cap and an improved under-seat storage capacity to accommodate a full-face helmet.

Performance and Efficiency Upgrades

At its core, the Activa 7G is likely to be powered by an updated 110cc BS7-compliant engine, featuring Honda’s proprietary Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. This focus on engineering is expected to boost both power output and fuel efficiency, with industry estimates suggesting a mileage of approximately 55 to 60 kmpl. The inclusion of an idle-start-stop system is also projected to help riders manage fuel consumption in congested urban traffic.

Design and Market Outlook

The design language is expected to be more contemporary, featuring sharper body panels, an updated LED headlight cluster with integrated DRLs, and chrome accents to provide a more premium aesthetic. Safety remains a priority, with the scooter likely to retain its Combi-Braking System (CBS) and potentially offer a front disc brake variant.

While Honda has not officially confirmed the launch timeline, market speculation points to an arrival during the upcoming festive season—a peak period for vehicle sales in India. The Activa 7G is expected to be priced between Rs 80,000 and Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom) and will compete directly with popular models such as the TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access.
