Abhishek Banerjee, national president of All India Trinamool Youth Congress, has sent a legal notice to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah for some of the statements he made at the public meeting on Kolkata’s Mayo Road on August 11.

The notice mentions that the speech contained statements that are “false, malicious and defamatory” that were “thinly-veiled” references to the nephew of the chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee.
