Modi government will need to do a lot more to gain confidence of Muslims, says Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi
Emphasising the Centre’s efforts for the welfare of Muslims in the country, Union minister for Minorities Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, on Sunday said the government would have to do a lot more to gain their confidence. He said the minds of the Muslims “have been poisoned over the last 70 years”.
He said the good thing was that women in the new generation evaluated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the basis of the developmental works that the government has done in the last four years.
Naqvi said that the BJP losing in Kairana would not affect the party’s performance in the upcoming elections. He said BJP would prepare its strategy for the next year’s Lok Sabha polls keeping in mind oppositions’ alliance.
