Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting – via videoconferencing – with all political parties on Friday to discuss the India-China border situation. Twenty Indian Army soldiers were killed in a face-off with Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Wednesday tweeted: “In order to discuss the situation in the India-China border areas, Prime Minister @narendramodi has called for an all-party meeting at 5 PM on 19th June. Presidents of various political parties would take part in this virtual meeting.”
Various reports mentioned that 43 from the Chinese side were killed as per “intercepts”, but there has been no official confirmation on this, and these reports seem “misleading”, said AltNews.
