A group of students at Jadavpur University today showed black flags and shouted slogans protesting the visit of Union minister of state Babul Supriyo at the university premises. He was scheduled to attend a program at the university.
Babul Supriyo stepped out of his vehicle and got involved in a heated exchange with the students. A number of students shouted “Go back” slogans at the union minister of state.
Vice chancellor of the university, Suranjan Das intervened and tried to bring the situation under control.
