Saradha probe: IPS officer Arnab Ghosh called by CBI

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) authorities on Thursday called IPS officer Arnab Ghosh at the agency’s Kolkata office in connection with the Saradha chit fund investigations.
Ghosh was questioned for over two hours by the CBI investigators, sources said.
Ghosh was in charge of the detective department when he was with the Bidhannagar police commissionerate. It was during this time that the Saradha chit fund scam came to light.
The Central government agency is probing the Saradha and Rose Valley chit fund cases and a number of political leaders and film actors were called by the CBI in this connection in recent times.
This includes Trinamool Congress leaders Satabdi Roy, Madan Mitra, BJP leader Mukul Roy and Sovon Chatterjee (both were earlier with the Trinamool Congress) and actors Prasenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta among others.
